Roger Doud
K-12 Counselor/Assistant Principal

I graduated high school from Grand Island Central Catholic and earned my bachelor degree from Wayne State College. While at Wayne I lettered four years in football for the wildcats. I have my master’s degree in counseling from Kearney State College (UNK). I completed my administrative degree from Wayne State College. I am starting my 38th year in education! 2020-2021 will be my fifth year at SEM as the school counselor. Prior to SEM I was the middle school counselor at York for four years. I was a principal on the Santee Sioux Reservation in Santee for 2 years. I worked 14 years as the high school counselor at Grand Island Northwest where I coached several sports and started the boys soccer program. I worked on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and lived on the foothills of Colorado. Through all my travels, I am most excited to call SEM my new home! I have been married for 37 years to my best friend Shelly. We have two children Nate and Ryan, both are living in Norfolk. We have three grandchildren, Christian, Gabe and Ryker. These three grandchildren keep my wife and I busy and we wouldn’t want it any other way! I live for the fall and college football, I am a die-hard Husker fan. I enjoy working in my yard and woodworking .
