I grew up in McCook and originally attended Kearney State College. I graduated with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), and later completed two additional graduate programs through UNK in Educational Administration. I am currently finishing another graduate program in Special Education. The 2020-21 school year is my 26th year in education, which includes teaching in public schools, residential facilities, a treatment facility, and a few years substitute teaching in several school districts. I also taught GED programming with teenagers and adults in correctional facilities, and recently served as the Principal at West Kearney High School for five years. This is my third year at S-E-M as the K-12 Special Education teacher. I am very excited to be back at S-E-M Schools after student teaching and coaching here in 1993. I am married with three children and two grandchildren. Go Mustangs!
