Jueves Excursiones!!!
¡Los jueves durante la escuela de verano serán días de excursión! Esto cambiará nuestro horario de transporte para la semana 2, 3 y 4. La Sra. Quadhamer (Nicole) recogerá en Miller a las 9:05 y en Kearney a las 9:35. El Sr. Bosak recogerá en los horarios regulares. La Sra. Quadhamer lo dejará en Kearney a las 12:45 y en Miller a la 1:15 p. m. El Sr. Bosak lo dejará en Lexington a la 1:15 y en Eddyville a la 1:50. Esto agrega alrededor de una hora a nuestro día regular de escuela de verano.
El primer jueves (8 de junio) será una excursión al parque. TODO EL TRANSPORTE SERÁ EN EL HORARIO REGULAR.
El segundo jueves (15 de junio) habrá una excursión al invernadero de Walmart en Kearney. Los estudiantes recorrerán el invernadero y elegirán una planta para llevar a casa.
El tercer jueves (23 de junio) habrá una excursión a la librería para elegir un libro y al puesto de nieve tropical para aprender a hacer conos de nieve.
El cuarto jueves (29 de junio) habrá una excursión al Museo de los Niños para unir todo el aprendizaje de la escuela de verano con algunas actividades divertidas.
Los estudiantes no necesitarán traer dinero en las excursiones. La escuela está pagando generosamente por una planta, un libro, un cono de sno tropical y la entrada al museo de los niños. Cualquier dinero que los estudiantes traigan ellos serán responsables de cuidarlo y administrarlo.
¡Estamos muy emocionados de brindar esta experiencia a los estudiantes de la escuela de verano! Por favor firme la hoja de permiso en el reverso de este formulario y pídale a su hijo que lo devuelva a la escuela antes del 14 de junio.
We sent home Field Trip Permission forms for summer school today with students! Please get these filled out and returned to the school by Wednesday June 14th in order to attend the field trips to Kearney. Below are the notes and permission forms in case you lose them.
Thursday Field Trips!!!
Thursdays during summer school will be field trip days! This will change our transportation schedule for week 2,3 & 4.. Mrs. Quadhamer (Nicole) will pick up in Miller at 9:05 and Kearney at 9:35. Mr. Bosak will pick up at the regular times. Mrs. Quadhamer will drop off in Kearney at 12:45 and Miller at 1:15PM. Mr. Bosak will drop off in Lexington at 1:15 and Eddyville at 1:50. This adds about an hour to our regular summer school day.
The first Thursday (June 8th) will be a field trip to the park. ALL TRANSPORTATION WILL BE ON THE REGULAR SCHEDULE.
The second Thursday (June 15th) will be a field trip to the Walmart greenhouse in Kearney. Students will tour the greenhouse and pick out a plant to bring home.
The third Thursday (June 23rd) will be a field trip to the bookstore to pick out a book and the tropical snow stand to learn about making snow cones.
The fourth Thursday (June 29th) will be a field trip to the Children’s Museum to tie in all of the summer school learning with some fun activities.
Students will not need to bring any money on the field trips. The school is graciously paying for a plant, a book, a tropical sno cone and admission to children’s museum. Whatever money students bring they will be responsible for taking care of and managing.
We are very excited to provide this experience for the summer school students! Please sign the permission slip on the back of this form and have your child return it to school before June 14th.

First day of summer school! We made play dough using measurements and math, started our summer bucket list books, worked through number groups and made dinosaur fossils! What a great first day!!!
ATTENTION!! School Board meeting has been changed to 8:30 instead of 8:00 on Monday June 12th!
SEM summer running begins Monday June 5th at 7am, meet at the school Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays if you want to run this summer, everyone is welcome 7-12th.
Summer School 2023
SEM Summer school will be starting Monday June 5th! School will run Monday through Thursday from 9:00-11:30AM. June 29th will be the last day of summer school. Mr. Bosak’s van will pick up students at St. Ann's church in Lexington at 8:15AM, McFarland home at 8:45AM, and Eddyville Post Office at 8:50AM. Nicole’s Van will pick up in Kearney at Walmart at 8:15AM and the Miller Post Office at 8:45AM
We will be learning but also having a lot of fun throughout the morning. There will be a snack provided for students and activities as well as working on reading and math. We are looking forward to teaching the students and helping them to continue to learn and grow! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

The school is doing some summer clean up! We have some desks and chairs to sell! They are $5.00 a piece! Please contact the school office if you would like to purchase any of these items! 308-752-2925 office hours vary so if we do not answer please leave a message and we will call you back! Sale will end June 14th!
Summer Weightlifting begins Thursday June 1st. Coach Claflin will be demonstrating how we will do everything this summer. So it would be good for everyone to be there for this first meeting to learn how everything will be done. Monday-Thursday 5:30am-7:30am & 8:00am-9:30am except for the week of July 4th!

Elementary Track Meet Schedule!!!
On Wednesday May 17th @ 5:00 there will be a boys wrestling meeting for any boys 6th-12th grades that are interested in wrestling the 23-24 school year. This will also include parents. This will be held in the school cafeteria!
