Minden Bandfest Parade Saturday October 15th
The school will be open at 10:45AM. The buses will leave the school at 11:30AM. We will stop in Miller to pick up any students that would like to meet there. If you’re being picked up in Miller have all your uniform and instrument parts with you. Following the parade there will be an awards ceremony at the football field around 3:00PM. We will head home after the awards ceremony. If you need picked up from Kearney we will stop at the gas station right at the turn into the Viaero events center south of the interstate.
Band parents and supporters must pay to get into the awards ceremony. $4 adults $2 students. Students may bring a lunch with them or pay for concessions at the awards ceremony. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza hut, etc.
This parade has only bands in it and is relatively short. We are 18th of 40 bands. We follow Axtell in the parade order. The parade starts just a few blocks east of CL Jones middle school. The buses will be parked at the middle school. If you would like to take your child home with you from the parade, please meet us at the buses following the parade and be sure to have your permission slip to ride home filled out prior to picking them up.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope the weather will cooperate and we will be able to perform our best. This is our last marching band performance of the season. It has been a great marching band season and we look forward to finishing strong!
